Our coconut fiber shade sails are made from 100% natural coconut fibers and feature the material’s characteristic natural brown shade. Their weave is designed to provide cooling shade while allowing air to pass through, without trapping heat.

Coconut fiber shade sails are available in 3 different Models, which differ in the stitching/reinforcement pattern:

• M1 (Model 1): No inner seams – only perimeter seams (simple pattern)

• M2 (Model 2): Diagonal reinforcement seams (reinforced diagonal pattern)

• M3 (Model 3): Parallel reinforcement seams (reinforced pattern/grid look)

First installation tips (important)

Before installation, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the shade sail with plenty of water to remove the tannins naturally present in the material.

1. Rinse the shade sail well

2. Let it dry completely

3. Install it immediately (after rinsing, the material may temporarily feel heavier)

Tannins are natural compounds found in many plant-based materials, and it is completely normal for them to be released during the first rinse.

Natural color fading of coconut fiber

Like wood, coconut fiber is a natural cellulose-based material. When exposed to sunlight, it may gradually change color, often towards a grey-brown tone. This is primarily caused by the sun’s UV radiation and is a natural, expected process for materials made from natural fibers.

We do not use chemical dyes or additives to prevent fading, as we believe in preserving the material's natural texture and authentic appearance.
